Joomla 1.5 release

Joomla! 1.5 RC1 released at JoomlaDay Austinlead developer Louis Landry announced Joomla’s release candidate of Joomla! 1.5 RC1 on Saturday July 21 . ITS Web Services has been testing Joomla! 1.5 “Mapya” (Swahili for “new”) for several weeks and we love it! The second release candidate is scheduled for early August with the expectation that a final stable release will be delivered shortly thereafter.

Three Plone Boot Camps at UNC: Introduction, Regular, and Advanced

Is Plone for you? Want to know more about how you can use Plone? Interested in the benefits of the most advanced content management system? The UNC Zope and Python Users Group have arranged for a one day Introduction to Plone seminar taught by two-time Plone Foundation chair Joel Burton. This seminar is intended for evaluators of content management systems, decision makers looking at Plone as a solution, and content managers/editors who would like to learn how to use Plone. This seminar does not assume any web development experience or knowledge of Plone. The seminar takes place 9am-5pm, Friday August 10, in 2001 Kerr Hall of the UNC School of Pharmacy.
